vista removed
I have removed Vista and gone back to XP, my question is how do
I remove at bootup the 3 lines of text left by vista installation, that give me the option of starting with vista or an earlier version of windows, I want to remove the vista text lines (3), so that at bootup I don't have to sit and wait to choose which bootup sequence I prefer. Thanking all With kind regards From OZ |

Thanking all With kind regards From OZ It sounds as if you were dual booting XP and Vista. After removing Vista you're still left with its bootloader controlling your system. The simplest solution to this issue is to download, install, and run this program. VistaBootPRO 3.3 http://www.vistabootpro.org/ Once you've launched the program, click on System Bootloader. Select "Windows Legacy Bootloader". Select "All Drives". Hit the "Install Bootloader" button. Restart your computer. The alternative procedure is to boot with your XP installation CD into the Recovery Console and run the fixboot C: command. To start the computer and use the Recovery Console http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d....mspx?mfr=true Fixboot http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/r_c_cmds.htm#Fixboot Good luck Nepatsfan |
