Now when inserting CD-ROM it freezes the computer.

Does the light on the front come on like it normally does when you put in a disk, or does it just blink rapidly? You could try a cleaning CD (which is just a CD with a little brush glued on it), or try it in another PC if you have access to one. SC Tom |
