Does anybody know this???
Ok, you can download the patch from the web site, but my
pc doesnt give me enough time to logg on and download the patch. It shuts down before I have a chance to do anything. Any other way to download it? On a CD sent to me maybe??? Any ideas would be appreciated. |

Try this ...
As soon as your computer reboots and Windows loads, click Start, then Run. In the box, type the following: shutdown -a (then click OK) This should buy you time to get your fixes and updates installed. Here is an excellent site with detailed instructions and links to patches: http://www.visualante.org/msblast/main.htm -- Cheryl Fischer Law/Sys Associates Houston, TX "Ilir" wrote in message ... Hi llir (sorry if this is not your name I am guessing as you did not leave
a name), Given the description below it appears you are already infected. Please contact your antivirus vendor and have them assist you in removing the worm. When the worm is removed you should then be able to install the security patch. If you are running Windows XP you will want to enable the Internet Connection Firewall after the worm is removed to prevent re-infection. -- Curtis Koenig Support Professional Microsoft Clustering Technologies Support MCSA, MCSAS,MCSE, MCSES This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties and confers no rights.
