So why would you do that rather than assist through the medium of this news
group so we can ALL see the problem and the solution, and thus increase
everyone's knowledge?

Not nice, Jack.. at least give everybody the chance to see you knowledge by
doing what we all do here..

And why would anyone ask the question of this particular individual in
private, rather than ask here, where he can get answers from *multiple*
knowledgeable people, and where all answers are subject to peer review?

I strongly recommend against anyone relying on such a person.
