Default Transfer files from old PC???

You can probally connect the computers using a serial
connection check on the back of both computers and there
should be a phone line jack (or two) on each computer. if
you connect the computers directly and run file and
setting transfer wizard from start, all programs
accersories then system tools menu follow the steps and
it probably will work. If your old computer has a floppy
drive you canyoue the wizard and it will make the large
programs into small parts on a lot of floppy disk and
that will sort it out. Good Luck

Hi all,

I just got a new pc that is running XP home. My old

clunker of a PC is/was
running W98. I wanted to be able to hook my new and old

together and
transfer a few files, is this possible, and if so how?

My old PC is a P2
266 with a cd drive only (none rewritable) and I have

several files that are
too large to put on a floppy or email to myself. Any

help would be greatly
appreciated.

New to XP and mostly a PC noob so the simpler the better.

Thanks!
