how do i get a favourites shortcut on to my desktop?

Cheers for the quick reply Gordon.I want an icon which will bring a list of all my favourites up.I have not been into PCs that long,so some of the jargon is a bit over my head,that being the reason for registering with PCbanter.Ricky

Right-click on your desktop. Choose New-Shortcut. Click the Browse button,
and navigate to your Favorites folder. (Typically in C:/Documents and
settings/{your user name}. Hightlight Favorites, click OK, click Next and
click Finish to end.
