Default Introducing Money in Excel

Managing personal finances can be a daunting prospect for most people,
but having the right tools can help make it less challenging. While
millions of people use Excel to track their budgets, manually updating
a budget spreadsheet every month with the latest transactions can be a
very time-consuming process. As organizing and tracking finances
becomes a critical task for many of us, we want to help make managing
your personal budget in Excel a more seamless experience. Today, with
the launch of Money in Excel, weโ€™re embarking on a journey to simplify
your day-to-day money decisions to help you stay on track of your
longer-term financial goals.

That's an interesting idea, pity it's US focussed. Giving such an
app permission to check all your bank/savings/investment accounts on
other providers seems a little reckless!

It's also only for Education and Home subscribers. Anyone with a
business or enterprise subscription can't use it. Nor can any
spreadsheets be shared with anyone who isn't an Education or Home user.
That's pretty restrictive...

It seems a little unnecessary. I have my finances set up in Corel's
Quattro Pro Spreadsheet. I have arranged the spreadsheet columns in
the same order as in the CSV file that I download from the bank. With
my bank and other accounts, they offer multiple formats for data download.

I download the CSV file into Quattro Pro, copy the new data to the
financial worksheet, Review the data and save. It is not time intensive.

I do the same thing with my other accounts like credit cards.

Yes the Spreadsheet took some time about 10 years ago to set up the
spreadsheet, and takes minimal updating and housekeeping, but even with
the purchase templates for Excel you would still have these updating and
housekeeping chores.
