Devcon question
I have been using the very hand devcon with enable and disable to turn
a device on and off. I just noticed that it also has a restart parameter. What is the difference between enable and restart? Andy |

Devcon question
Enable means to make (a device or system) operational; activate. Adapted
for use with the specified application or system: e.g. WAP-enabled mobile phones. Restart means to start again. Maybe the "restart" only enables the device to be used while "enable" sees if there is a program that uses it, and then it starts it. Outta here. |

Options for Devcon are listed here. http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q311272 "Devcon restart" is discussed here, but I'm still not satisfied with the explanation. Why would it require the computer to reboot ? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms792819.aspx Paul |

A restart may be needed for some applications. Andy |
