WinXP SP2 Beta Version 2055
Hi, No one is going to be help to you here. We keep trying to explain to
you that the software is in beta. There will be problems and the beta testers for the product will submit them. We have both explained this too you many times. Please read the Rules of Conduct for Microsoft Newsgroups. The two topics you might want to read very good are as follows below. There is nothing wrong with anyone saying that you are posting in the wrong place, and that you should not be running the software in the first place. Also is *not* a forum, it's a newsgroup! It is also suggested that you take a look at a few sites that offer tips of "Netiquette" You could use some improvement in the field. Despite the fact that you "run your own forum" (btw, that doesn't make you "cool" or anything. it just makes you sound stupid) this is not your forum, nor is it a forum at all. Since you "found your answer" you may now leave without replaying to this message. Your kind are not welcome here. --- Relevance to Topics: Please make sure that your postings in newsgroups and chats are relevant to the subject at hand. It is normal for some topics to drift from the stated subject. However, to ensure maximum benefit for everyone, we encourage you to keep your postings as close to the subject as possible. Confidentiality: Please keep in mind that our communities are public spaces, so don't post anything that you don't want the world to see. Credit card numbers, product keys, and other confidential information, including anything covered under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), should not be posted to a newsgroup, chat, or other community. ---- Rules of Conduct http://www.microsoft.com/communities...t/default.mspx FYI, I love replying to these. It's so funny to see all the n00b's try and get answers for betas they are not part of! Have a nice day! Chris Lanier "cowboy" wrote in message ... Chris and Carey, you two must be an Item, ya both have the same answer for everything. Although your answer are pretty lame and stupid. YES I KNOW it is a Beta release and there are going to be BUGS, and yes those bugs will be Ironed out, and NO I am not an official Beta Tester. But I was hoping that I would run into some guys that also have it loaded and might have an answer, THAT IS WHAT A FORUM IS FOR, but I made a mistake and ran into you two Morons who like to play Moderators on an open forum. The problem is you are of no help to anyone, not even yourself because you can't step out of your little play ground long enough to learn anything. With that said, I found some answers to my problem on another forum that is not WinXP Beta Related, isn't that amazing. I actually found some people that knew what a forum was for. Why don't you two little pansies get married and go to work for Microsoft and get it over with. |

Yeah your right, my kind are not wanted here. Judging from some of the others who posted, I would say you guys are not to well liked. Go figure.
The difference between a Forum and a Newsgroup, now thats a real stretch. Of course the difference would be the Spelling. But then, who can argue with you two geniuses. {So if you found a resolution to your issues, why don't you inform us of the actual resolution instead of criticizing?} Why would I want to give you anything, but what you have given me. { It is also suggested that you take a look at a few sites that offer tips of "Netiquette" You could use some improvement in the field.} Now look who's calling the kettle black, now thats real funny coming from you. {Despite the fact that you "run your own forum" (btw, that doesn't make you "cool" or anything. it just makes you sound stupid) That the best you can do. {Since you "found your answer" you may now leave without replaying to this message. Your kind are not welcome here.} You really are funny Chris. |

WinXP SP2 Beta Version 2055
Hi, Beta software is not meant to be in the hands of others besides MSDN
subscribers and official beta testers. There has been nothing wrong with me, Carey, or anyone else saying that you can't/will not get help here. Cowboy just decided to carry it on and on. And now, it got he he/she is flaming others for basically putting it nicely first (which we did, please post in the correct beta/MSDN group). You want to flame and I will flame back. Of course there are issue with XP SP2. There should be. And since the NDA was never lifted from beta testers none of them should be talking about it. You may feel free to look other place for help, but here, no. I'm sure no one at Microsoft will have any problem with the way me and Carey have been putting it. "Windows customer" wrote in message ... I read the tread and I'm shocked to hear that Microsoft would allow this kind of treatment towards their customers. I would suggest instead of trying to argue with 'Cowboy', you would simply advise his that there is no support available for the Beta rls of sp2 (2055). I'm sure he would understand that if you informed him in a polite and professional manner. Cowboy, I would suggest that you seek help outside of Microsoft's list-serv. I've found that Google has more information available for Microsoft problems than what you can find in this list-serv. In fact there are a few beta sp2 issues already out there. Good luck in your search for a solution. A Fellow Windows User |

Hi John, What improvements are being tested, and when will testing be complete? What percentage of testers have had annoying problems Thanks for your help Probably not questions that can be answered. After all, all private beta testers are under strict NDA. MS has released some information that can be found at the following links: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en...ityinxpsp2.asp http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...n/winxpsp2.asp SP2 is currently in early beta, so things are still subject to change as the beta progresses. -- Tom Porterfield MS-MVP Smart Display http://support.telop.org Please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup only. |

Cowboy, If your still reading this after the crappy way you've been treated....... I'm an unoffical tester too, and I solved the same problem you're having. Go to Network Connections and install the Client for Microsoft Networks. Then go to services and st
art Workstation, Background Intelligent Transfer, and Automatic Updates. The updates should then install. |

So agaim I will say Thank You SOMEBODY, THe Background Intelegence Transfer Service was the last piece of the puzzle I needed. Now the updates download with no problems. Now ya see Carey and Chris you were wrong, I did find the answer to my problem right here in this Newsgroup,,,,Of course that was with no help from you two. You two were to busy hoping Daddy Bill Gates would send you a present or something for being such ^&^%$&^^%$, you know what I mean don't ya? By the way Carey and Chris, ole Cowboys gonna stick around for awhile to help some of these people. For the rest of the posters thank you for your support and helping me keep the faith it support groups. |

People who get annoyed at being treated in a shabby manner for no good reason that I can see. I guess I had better unsubscribe then. I've done/been all the above. Chris, with respect, I don't think its your place to tell people whether or not they are welcome in a public newsgroup that isn't moderated at all, let alone by you. Hey ****wit's wake up! You are stealing software. It
does not matter about your "no strings attached" download. It's not YOURS. There has been NOTHING WRONG with what anyone has said to you. A ****wit as atupid as you asking for help with a beta you SHOULD NOT HAVE. What kind of dumbass are you? Why dont you leave and go be a good "unoffical tester" (if there is such as thing) These ****wit's get stupider with every beta M$ puts out. -----Original Message----- Chris Lanier wrote: Since you "found your answer" you may now leave without replaying to this message.
