Build a time machine and go back in time. Eval copies of
Windows XP pre-date SP2.

Invest in a computer company and become your own OEM, then
buy some from MS.

But you can get a free complete XP SP2 CD that will update
all versions of Windows XP, MS even pays the postage. This
is not an install CD eval, it is just an service pack
upgrade.

I assume you were talking to me, but since you snipped the
previous post.

I know what you want, you want a free copy of Windows XP
with SP2, which means you want a current version. You don't
want to pay for it because you're cheap. MS did issue eval
copies years ago so software authors could work with and
develop XP compatible software. That process stopped years
ago, hence my reference to a time machine.

I did tell you how to get SP2 on a CD, for free, which is
better than a eval copy that has a time limited EULA.

jim

since i have a eval sp1 copy next to me and i know mce 2005 has a eval also,
the refence to a time machine is ignored

i have a legit copy of xp, so the attack on me is also ignored since all
your trying to do is make a fight.

Thanks for your time!

note i didnt ask for a sp2 upgrade cd.

Eval CD were not ever intended to be upgraded, slipstreamed
or have in infinite life. It has expired, died, and it is
thus time to BUY a retail CD.
The fact that you have an eval CD means that either you were
at one time a software developer for MS and you have
forgotten how to contact MS or somebody gave or sold you
software illegally.

I do hope somebody can help you.

plonk means he's set his newsreader to ignore any more posts from
you, he won't see them. You've been added to his killfile or plonk
file as it's often called.

The hostile tone of your replies is what has earned you this treatment,
you might try and be more courteous in the future.

They may be available in some Microsoft Press books, I am not sure if they
have updated to SP-2.
However it seems you actually need to buy Windows XP since apparently you
have exceeded the intended purpose of the evaluation versions.
