Found New Hardware - but it's already installed!
Hi,
I am running XP Pro SP2 and have installed a printer which is connected via a USB cable. The printer works fine. But every time I switch on the printer XP says it has found new hardware and launches the Hardware Setup Wizard. How can I stop this happening? -- Best regards, Adam |

Maybe try updating the printer drivers? Search MS Knowledge Base? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298370/en-us -- JD.. |

If you posted in the printer newsgroup, I'd have got to you quicker.

Thanks but your link did not help as this is a USB printer and your KB issue
related to LPT1. Anyway, I've solved the problem... I just ticked the box that says "Don't ask me to install this software again"!!
