Default HP Color Laser 2600n communication problem

The printer has 'Ready' on its LCD; in the Printers folder the printer is
'Ready', but when I try to print I get an error message about not being able
to communicate with the printer.

The printer is connected to a small network via a hub. The computer is a
Dell with XP Professional SP2.

I've uninstalled the printer and reinstalled using drivers from HP website
to no avail.

The problem has occurred before, but this time nothing I do seems to work.

Can anyone advise please.

Thanks

Jackie
