Default USB to USB connection.

To connect computer to computer to transfer files, you
will need to use an RJ45 cross connect cable run between
the NIC cards and set the two machines up on a
workgroup. That is the only way I know of to do it.

-----Original Message-----
I just bought a USB to USB cord, to link files from my
laptop onto my desktop, and I can't get it to work. I
have not installed any software, but I pressumed with
Windows XP on both machines it would be able to

recognize
the connection and self configure. Can someone please
tell me what I am doing wrong and if I need any software.

Thanks very much.
