Default POPfile cannot access 127.0.0.1:8080

-----Original Message-----

check your firewall settings
if you can oping the port tcp/ip should be ok
uninstall and reinstall the program

I have been trying to install POPfile, a highly-

recommended spam screener.
The GUI is supposed to be accessed at 127.0.0.1, port

8080 - however, my IE
6.0 shows only a 404 window. I ran netstat and noted

nothing else listening
at that port, and I can ping that address OK. I've not

yet tried to delete
and re-install my TCP setup, since I have no wish to re-

live my home network
setup problems.

So . . . I assume not being able to access 127.0.0.1

properly is a Bad
Thing. What are my options?

Thanks -

.
