Default connecting my laptop to the lan

I have not yet tried to use the laptop on 2 networks.
I do use dhcp for addresses, but in network comfiguration,
a specific domain name is written, and I think this would
have to change for each site. I could get the "user can
add a computer to the domain " privelage added to each
user account, but physically changing domain names and
restarting etc is too difficult

I would think that DHCP would solve a lot of login
problems. Or do the networks require the use of a static
IP address?

One other thing you might mention...what kind
of "connection problems" do you anticipate? Have you
experienced a particular problem when using the laptop on
those networks before? If so, what were the symptoms?
