can some one please tell me why somtimes when i bott up and then click on my
desktop and then goes to it but only my wall paper and no icons what could be
the problem? please help me this started after i installed ati 2.0 external
tv tuner i have xp

You could possibily have a driver conflict. Do you have a ATI Video
Card? Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers
and software for the TV Tuner. Reboot first between un and re.

well i do have an ait card but are u sure that that would have anything to do
with it? when that happens i shut it off with main power button and then when
it boots up for second time everthing is fine and all my icons show up and
everything works normaly i hate to uninstall everything i just put on here i
also get an atished.exe and would i like to send error report and all that i
just click it close and go about my buisness and everything works fine and it
does that error thing everytime i boot up so maybe its in my start up some
wherte right?

Try disconnecting the ATI TV Tuner if it's a USB 2.0. The rt click
MyComputerselect PropertiesHardwareDevice
ManagerUSB Controllers. Rt click on each one and choose Uninstall. You
may have 8 or more. Then restart and let
WinXP reinstall them. Reconnect the TV Tuner.

i went to the usb controler like you said i just disabled it and rebooted and
it still came up with the ATISched.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to
close thing so what next you still want me to uninstall the usb controler and
when i go to reinstall it am i going to need my xp disk and how do i get that
and only that from the disk cause i dont want confuson leading me to mess
anything else up you know thnx

No, you will not need your WinXP CD. WinXP has a Driver Folder that it
uses to replace the ones you choose to uninstall.
but check here. It seems ATI is aware of this problem.
