Default Adding hard drive & moving programs

I recently added a hard drive to my system (P-III, 450MHz,
372K RAM). How do I move programs from their original,
crowded drive (c to the new drive (d and ensure they
will function properly?

remove the programs and then add them back on but make sure you load them on
to your d:\ drive or whatever its labeled.

So I have to uninstall and reinstall every program I want
to do this with?
