Default Select Drive Letter

If I plug a flash drive into my computer, WINXP will recognize the new device
and assign a logical drive letter to it. Say G:

I would like to pick the letter myself, rather than let Windows do it.

You do it the same way you change any other drive letter, using disk
management.
