Default Live Messenger

When I type in my instant message I can see it in the bottom box while
typing, but as soon as I hit enter I do not see it appear in the top box even
though it has been received to the recipient. I am also not seeing what the
recipient is sending me.

All that appears is

Any suggestions, this just occurred in the last few days.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem. I have the same thing
happening to me. One day it worked fine, the next it did not.
