Default ** Back up Feature **

I learned the hard way. My computer crashed. Once I
replaced the hard drive and loaded my back up files from
15 Zip disk I wanted to back up via CD-ROM. However that
feature is not included with new P.C.'s.

Does any one know if Windows XP Upgrade includes the
program or not? I love microsoft but I am not paying an
additional $200 for a feature I believe should be included
to begin with.

Thank You.

Backup comes with all XP versions supplied by MS, on a new compute or =
store bought.

However MS doesn't make a lot of the XPs that comes with new computers. =
It's up to the person who makes the disk if they include stuff like =
this. For Pro it will always be included, for home the maker has to tick =
a box in a wizard - and most are too stupid to do so.

NTBackup is a proper backup program so won't do CDs as they are not a =
backup medium. CDs are for archiving not backup. Tape is used for =
Backups.
