Jonathan - voice problem
The router configuration for UPNP is on the router.
"mandymandy" wrote in message ... for some strange reason my posting ( 13th july ) has just disappeared so i'm reposting cos i'm back to square one. post from 13th july (simplified) i'm using linksys router which connects to the internet thru a non-UPnP symmetric NAT admistrator and i'm not able to do voice at all on both windows/msn messenger it says dis on my fren's comp when either one try to invite for voice the network or computer you are trying to reach is experiencing a problem please try again later i've turned off my firewall .. task barpersonal firewall disable .. what else amd i not doing right? jonathan said to open router configuration and enable UPnP can't remember exactly what else but anyway i called up my cable company they seem ignorant of the UPnP and in frustration the technician opened up all the ports on my line he said it's still not too accessable to hackers cos i'm using wireless so yes i was able to voice over msn messenger but not windows messenger which was fine with me then the next day my fren clicked on the whiteboard button to invite me while we were conversing on msn messenger and it knocked me off msn & when i reboot & relog on i was back to square one with that every irritaing the network or computer you are trying to reach is experiencing a problem please try again later so jonathan plzzzzzzzzzz get me back on msn voice again i only managed to enjoy it for half a day what happened with that white board invite? i've checked all my ports are still open. is the router configuration for UPnP supp to be on my pc ? i looked in there but don't see any such button to enable .. helpppp |
