Default Need help with a WMP shortcut

I have a keyboard that allows me to assign shortcuts to some special
keys. I have set one such key to the following:

----- Begin assignment -------
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /playlist kunm
----- End assignment ---------

A WMP shortcut is pinned to the bottom bar a few over from the start
menu and KUNM is the name of a defined play list that streams from the
University of New Mexico Public radio station. When I use the keyboard
shortcut, it plays fine. Unfortunately, a second WMP entry is placed on
the bottom bar using the same icon as the one that is pinned there. It
doesn't "group" on the existing icon.

1) Is there any straightforward way to get rid of the second icon?

2) Is there a way to start the WMP window minimized whether or not there
is a second icon?

I used Google to look for arguments to WMP but didn't see anything that
was any help including some of the MS forum pages.

Thanks in advance for any help with the above.
