Default xp upgrade???

if i buy the upgrade for xp and i have me will the upgrad
allow me to totally whipe out me....i dont want any of the
old files...i want to start over...what do i do??? please
help

Yes, you can format your drive and wipe it clean.
But, Read this first. Installation is not like winme upgrade, you need to do
some prep work first.

You can do a clean install with an XP upgrade disk as long as you have
the Me disk. You'll be prompted during the install process to insert
the Me disk for validation.
