booting to XP
Hi,
Because your boot.ini file has an extra line. Click start/run, type C:\boot.ini and click ok. This will open boot.ini in notepad, click edit/select all/edit/copy. Open a reply to the message, click in the message text area and hit ctrl+v to paste the contents, then send it for review. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "dave" wrote in message ... why do I have a choice of windowsXP or windows which takes me to a dos prompt instead of just going |
