Default Folder View Settings

Is there any way to actually get Windows to remember each
folder's view settings? The option to do this in Folder
Options does not appear to have any effect. I'll set how
I want a folder (such as My Documents or Control Panel)
to appear, close the folder, reopen and it is different
than how I set it. I have tried resetting all folders to
default and applying the same view to all folders, it
will not remember any changes I make after that. I have
Tweak UI 2.10 remembering 2000 folder settings (which is
way more than I'd ever need, but I'd seen this suggested
elsewhere) but it still won't remember any of them. Is
there a bug in my system, or does this 'Remember each
folder's view settings' completely worthless?

Hi Mike,
This may help. Download and apply the edit. And then reset the folder views
according to your choice.

Increase folder view size limit to 8000 (line 2, left column)

OMG, that actually worked! I thought I'd already tried
everything. Thanks a lot!

I wouldn't assume that setting it to 8000 helps. It also resets all =
views so that did it, not increasing the bag limit.
