uninstalling SP2 right after the automatic installation?
Will it be possible to uninstall SP2 after it will be downloaded and
installed automatically on April 12th? Is it possible to prevent the SP2 installation if the Automatic Updates are turned on but every patch installation has to be confirmed manually? |

SP2 will not be automatically downloaded and installed without
your consent. If you do not accept the SP2 EULA, then it will not be installed. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows XP - Shell/User Microsoft Newsgroups Get Windows XP Service Pack 2 with Advanced Security Technologies: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...xp/choose.mspx ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "totojepast" wrote: | Will it be possible to uninstall SP2 after it will be downloaded and | installed automatically on April 12th? | | Is it possible to prevent the SP2 installation if the Automatic Updates | are turned on but every patch installation has to be confirmed | manually? |

Aparently you are reading articles written by those that know little or
those preferring to spread FUD. SP-2 will not be installed if you do not want it: http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/forcesp2.htm And yes you could uninstall SP-2 if you chose to, but why compromise security? -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar In memory of our dear friend, MVP Alex Nichol http://www.dts-l.org "totojepast" wrote in message ups.com...
