Default problem with video drivers and 3D applications

I have Windows XP Professional.
I installed a FX5700 ultra card with its drivers and when
I run some applications using 3D graphics (Geomagic 4.0,
AI Environment) the window of the program woth the 3D
graphics freezes(it doesn't show correctly and it shows
whatever was on the screen before opening the application
for example the desktop wallpaper).
I have encountered problems even with applications that
don't use 3D graphics like MATLAB, in which the leters of
hte window don't show up correctly and the program cannot
open any matlab files in order to run them.
It is worth saying that if I select to uninstall the
graphics driver and restart the PC then in the next boot
up it regurarly recognizes the new hardware(graphics
card) and I proceed in the installation of the drivers
from the cd that came along with the card. When all that
is completed but without restarting again the PC, all of
the above programs work properly, but the PC is restarted
so that the installation of the drivers is fully
completed, then the problems restart.
Other 3D applications like solidworks don't seem to
present any problems.
Thank you and look forward to receiving a solution,
suggestion in my email.
