I once caught an IObit piece of software (I think it maybe _was_ an
uninstaller) misbehaving, and it itself got uninstalled pronto (IIRR,
using Revo!). I can't remember exactly what it was doing, but it was the
sort of thing that means I'm unlikely to even look at anything from that
company for some while. (YMMV of course.)

no good deed goes unpunished. This is an iron-clad rule in Netiquette.

| Wow, thanks! Just what I was after. (Pity the website has a broad grey
| bar over the top of all pages that, in my browser, stays where it is as
| I scroll the page, thus obscuring most of it, but I persevered.)

That kind of thing seems to be getting more
common. I don't know why. But you can go
to View - Style - No Style in Mozilla browsers
to get a functional page.

But read the comments.

"IObit Uninstaller 3 is easily the best Windows uninstall utility I've
come across. It has a couple of minor problems, but 64-bit-app
compatibility, browser toolbar and plug-in removal, and well-designed
interface make it winner. Comodo Programs Manager and Revo Uninstaller
are no slouches, but IObit Uninstaller 3 is the PCMag Editors' Choice
for Windows uninstall utilities."
