Nyone removed HDrive out of External Kit?
Has anyone removed the hard drive out of a Seagate 'Free Agent' external
hard drive kit just to use the hard drive? I bought a deal, ~$95 on a new 750 gb Seagate FA with 5-year warranty from Office Depot, and don't wish to expose the hd to the heat in that enclosure. I am leaning toward just using it as an internal hd. Any ideas, pro and con? Thanks, sdlomi2 |

Normally, warranty is on the complete unit, not just the "main" component. |

Good point, if the enclosure has some type of disassembly security sticker
on it, you may void the warranty. -- ---- Crosspost, do not multipost http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 __________________________________________________ _______________________________ "smlunatick" wrote in message ...
