printer problems
I don't know this printer but if it is a USB device is could be something to
do with the power-saving features built in to Windows which shuts off power to peripherals (including broadband USB modems if you're not careful!). That's where to look first Ron "jas" wrote in message ... Hello I have a Satellite Notebook with windows XP home which is giving me problems. I have reformatted the hard drive, but I am still having the same problem as ever. I have a hp printer 3420 which is not properly communicating with the computer. I have had the printer checked out and there is nothing wrong with it. The printer will print fine if it is just turned on, but if a few minutes elapse it will not work. I have to turn the printer off and on again to get it to print. What is happening? I have reinstalled the printer software several times but this does not solve the problem. The device manager says all is well. What can I do? This is driving me crazy. Jas |
