Hi All,

I am downloading the latest ISO from

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...d/windows10ISO

I guess it depends on the intelligence of the person using it. Some
people have claimed that their machine exploded; Some claimed that
their screen became black; And some even said that the screen was
actually blue;

What do you mean by "Anything wrong"? If it is from Microsoft and if it
is for general release then I doubt something is wrong with it otherwise
it won't be re4leased for the public use. Don't you think so or are you
just trolling again to get your daily quota of garbage here?

I have installed it on the most basic machine and look it wo9rks just
fine but as you may know, I have an above average IQ and intelligence
and I am quite modest to declare it here!!!.

My servant hasn't been around here lately so you might want to hunt for
him. He is called "Cows are nice". Search for his nym on these
newsgroups. He is under my orders to promote my Good Guy nym here but
he is too stupid to understand simple instructions. He is a yankee so
what do you expect.

You do not say what were the specifications of you computer?

I have a desktop w/Intel i5 and a laptop w/Intel i7. Both with disk of
at least 1TB storage and 8GB of ram. 1709 installed and is running well
on both computers.

However, my tablet has a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom process, 1GB ram and 32GB
storage plus another 32GB on a card. NOTE: this is not the Atom
Processor that MS acknowledges will not run Windows 10 While it
upgraded from W 8.1 to W 10 easily, every upgrade since has been a pain.
When upgrading from 1703 to 1709, it messed up everything, I had to
reset the computer, and reinstall the drives. It is now working running
1703, but I have not returned it to the programs of its predisaster state.

I use this tablet as a briefcase adding and subtracting files as I go
different places. Both the wireless transmitter and the computer are
turned off and and on as needed. It is currently set to apply updates
at times I know it will be off. I don't know when it will decide to
apply 1709 again.

If you have or have recently bought a small computer with only 32GB of
storage. ie less the 16.0 GB of free space, I would recommend you not
try to apply 1709. In my opinion no computer should run Windows 10
with less that 64GB of main storage, and about 32GB of free space.

I was surprised the other day when at a local computer store and found
they were still selling new Windows 10 computers with only 32 GB of
storage. I found one with only about 6GB of free space. In my opinion
these computers will always be a problem with every update that comes
down from MS.

My 32GB tablet updated ok for both Creators' Edition and the 1709 thing.
I downloaded a full ISO in both cases; ran it on two desktops without
problems, then started it on the tablet. I went out, came back and it
was finished; no messages visible, but, like yours, it shows 1703 in
About Computer.

There's only 7.8GB of disc space left, but I have no problems with it if
I keep within "everyday computing" norms. No video editing, eg!

MS have surprised me a few times with updates to it. They've shown more
forethought than I thought they were capable of.

It's working fine for me. I just did a clean-install using that ISO, the
download and run kb4051963 to reach 16299.98 from 16299.15.
