Outlook Error Message 0x800C8105- Send/Receive Problem
My Outlook program used to work perfectly. Yesterday, I tried to e-mail a 1
MB video file (about 30 seconds of video w/ sound), first as a regular e-mail attachment and then after saving it and attaching the file via Windows Movie Maker. Since then, I get the following message over and over again and my outgoing messages sit forever in my outbox: 'Task mail.comcast.net-Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800C8105): 'Unknown Error 0x800C8105' The send/receive progress window also says 0 of 29 [or more] tasks have successfully completed. Can anyone help me pls.? Comcast, my ISP, says its not their error. (An aside: Why doesn't Microsoft provide any support itself?) |

Do you have Norton anti virus/auto protect enabled? Try disabling when
sending email. If so, try a permanent solution at Symantec. http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/ "Martin" wrote in message ... My Outlook program used to work perfectly. Outlook Error Message 0x800C8105- Send/Receive Problem
Thanks, Jim. I do have Norton anti-virus auto-protect enabled, but it
doesn't scan e-mails being received or sent. I looked in Semantec's website but found nothing re the error message I've been receiving. Do you know anything specifically about that error message and Norton or have you heard generally that Norton anti-virus can interfere with the send/receive function in Outlook? Thanks again. First of all, do what I suggested in the first place whether email scanning
is enabled or not. Try these two and see if it applies to your situation. http://tinyurl.com/3jlut http://tinyurl.com/6ok6e Try deleting from your outbox the email with the video file and see if that works. If you have Zone Alarm or any other firewall installed make sure the settings are set properly to send email. Same thing with any other security program. Good luck. "Martin" wrote in message ...
