Use whatever text editor you like. Firefox goes its own way by storing its cookies in a database file. You would need to know the SQL commands to alter the records in Firefox's SQLite database. http://www.allaboutcookies.org/faqs/cookie-file.html Since the name/value (or key/value) pairs are encoded according to whatever syntax the site wants to use, it is unlikely you will know how to edit the value for a varname. What would "s_vi_atamox7E" or "mt=yrtGip2MhYs197" mean to you? And how would you know how to edit the value so it means something to the server? Being a text file does not obviate that values within are encoded per some scheme that only the site for that cookie can understand. |
