Default Edit Cookies

I would like to review, likely edit my browser cookies. I use Chrome
and IE browsers. I havesearched forsuch FREE apps, yet to find one
that is Free and also allows editing.

I would appreciate recommended - free apps?

that can be done within the app itself, no app required.

if edit equals delete, it can be done. Pre-quantum I used to use
cookiesplus which let you edit the cookie data, expiry time, change
between session and time based etc.

Cookie files are text files. Use whatever text editor you like.
Firefox goes its own way by storing its cookies in a database file. You
would need to know the SQL commands to alter the records in Firefox's
SQLite database.

Since the name/value (or key/value) pairs are encoded according to
whatever syntax the site wants to use, it is unlikely you will know how
to edit the value for a varname. What would "s_vi_atamox7E" or
"mt=yrtGip2MhYs197" mean to you? And how would you know how to edit the
value so it means something to the server? Being a text file does not
obviate that values within are encoded per some scheme that only the
site for that cookie can understand.
