Need Help With My HP PSC 950 AIO
This may be OT, but I am desperate - so be tolerant please.
I am using WXP PRO SP2. I am really stuck. My HP PSC 950 AIO was working just for printing, but had stopped working for scan. The printer will do a 'copy' standalone as well as FAX, so I know the device works. I tried to uninstall it, then re-install it and used Control PanelAdd or Remove Programs to get rid of all references to it, then I downloaded b4p_enu_xp.exe to do the re-install, but it won't do it because it says my printer is already installed. I tried manually removed all references to this printer in the Registry, as well as all occurrences I could find on my HDD using Windows Explorer. But it didn't help, and it may have been a mistake. Now although I can use WXP's 'add printer' to add the 950 back as a printer successfully (seemingly), it won't print now either. So I've killed it in so far as my computer is concerned anyway. So as I said I am really stuck - can anyone suggest something I can try? I'll remember you in my will. :) Thanks Jethro |

Look on HPs website because there is probably an uninstall utility for their
software package. Using this should get rid of everything related to the 950 so that you can start installing again properly -- Cari (MS-MVP) Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "Jethro" wrote in message ...
