Dell Display Manager

Anyone here with a Dell Monitor and using its additional software 'Dell
Display Manager' (DDM)?

I recently bought the 24" Dell U2514 monitor and am happy with it apart
from the DDM. I prefer to manage the size and position of open windows
myself (and have various macros to assist). I couldn't find any way to
stop DDM rearranging my windows every time I enabled the monitor, even
by closing it from its tray icon. So I uninstalled it (thoroughly, using
Revo Uninstaller).

But windows of various apps are *still* appearing at some previous size
and position that I must have set during my early experimenting a few
days ago. Can't see how that can occur.

Bottom line: I want my windows to remain at whatever settings they were
in when last used, but I'm stumped how to return to that normal state.
