I don't agree. Even good spellers can be prone to making typos. I'm a
pretty good speller, but a terrible typist.

I notice I make very few spelling errors, compared to TYPING errors. For
example, I used to type "pront" a lot when it was supposed to be
"print". The preceding was NOT a spelling error.

Spelling checkers won't help when your spelling/typing error makes it a
different word. That could explain some of the mixing up "breath" and
"breathe" (when you take a breath, you breathe). I once saw an ad for a
hospital with the words "breath easy". I hope the doctors didn't write
that ad. Another common error is "loose" for "lose".

BTW, I even saw one case where "gravity" became "gravidity".

Yes, that's a legitimate pint. I must admit that I struggle with the
prblem that ne f the keys n my keybard ften needs t be hit several times
befre it wrks.
