Start\All Programs\....Slow sub-menu

Hello,
I recently built my XP Pro SP1 (AMD 2800+) computer. It
worked great right off the bat. However, after installing
all updates and approx 20-25 programs, I noticed that
when I click on START and navigate my mouse pointer to
ALL PROGRAMS, it takes approx 2 sec. to pop up the sub-
menu, and then another 2 sec. to pop up the selected
program subs, whereas it used to be almost instantanious.
Several years ago I used a version of TWEAK_UI for win95
or 98 that had an option to adjust the speed of this
action, however, the latest TWEAK_UI for XP does not
include this option. Perhaps someone has a suggestion or
a regedit that will speed up this process.
