Default problems with playing DVD

Ever since i downloaded the windows xp service pack 1 I
have not been able to play DVDs on my computer. Before I
could play DVDs on either my windows media player, winDVD
player or on the Realone player. Now I can't play DVD at
all. I have upgraded to the windows media player 9.0. I
have a Toshiba notebook, satellite pro 6100.

Can you help me with this problem??

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Sincerely,

Kendall

Seems similiar to my problems posted earlier. I cannot get any answer from
Dell. I tried to repair XP but that did not help.

For what it's worth, I got my computer to play DVD's again by deleting SP1
from the ADD/Delete programs in controll panel and then booted off the disk
to repair XP
