Canon MV600i Capture Problems
Have a Toshiba A25 Win XP Pro 40GB Hard Drive (38GB free)
520MB RAM P4 2.66 Ghz Processor Laptop. Have recently purchased Canon MV600i Digital video but when trying to capture video from camera to Laptop capture starts but then stops after a short period. Repeated attempts have same problem but doesnt always stop at the same place. Am using a PCMCIA card for firewire (Belkin). Have tried doing same through older laptop with Windows 98 and it works fine. Have tried another DV Camera of same model and make with A25 laptop but problem persists. Have tried another Belkin Firewire card with A25 Laptop but no luck either. Have also tried using Win Movie Maker, software taht came with camera and vido software that came with Belkin firewire card but have same problem with all software. Can anyone suggest where the problem lies????? |

Canon MV600i Capture Problems
Thanks Robert but not sure what you mean. Both Laptop and Canon camera are being powered by 240V. Don't believe I need to change any power settings on my laptop but if you had anything more specific in mind I would be willing to give it a try.
