Default bsod burning dvd

error 0XC0000005 0X806F894F 0XAD588848 0X00000000 trying to write burn dvd.
Fails on internal and external usb dvds . Replaced internal dvd with
different type and still fails.
Updated all dvd drivers to latest versions - still fails.
Same error using multiple burning software suites.
I don't do much burning, so it's impossible to tell what MS updates or sw
installed prior to encountering problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Bruce

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB Root Hub
device(s), Action menu, "Uninstall", (do Not put a check in 'delete driver")
then Action menu, "scan for hardware changes", to find the device drivers
again automatically.

Background information on Stop Error report
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms796183.aspx

0x000000C5: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
An attempt occurred to touch invalid memory at a process IRQL that is
too high. This is almost always caused by drivers that have corrupted
the system pool. If you've recently installed any new software, check to
see if it's properly installed; and check for updated drivers on the
manufacturer's web site.

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

Please post the result.

What burning software including version are you using?

Hope this helps.

Are you burning using Windows built-in software, or some 3rd party
software? Some burning related errors can be avoided by switching to a 3rd
party program.

Hi Renee,

I listed all burning sw on previous post. It fails with any of them and the
windows built-in burner.
I uninstalled all burning sw to no avail.

Thanks for your help!

Bruce

Can we check the completeness of your original posting of the error
code? You can find C5 as the first parameter not as the Error code. An
example looks like this:

'' 0x0000007e(0xc0000005,0x00000000,0xf96b487c,0xf96b 457c)

Also what narative appears on the line / lines below the above?

Can you read DVD's in the DVD drive?
