Default Access denied after reinstalling windows xp

-----Original Message-----
Hi, I had some files in my My Documents folder on an XP
install that was running slow, so I decided to
reinstall. I wanted to be able to get these files so i
just put them in a folder on the root c drive. I
reinstalled xp over the old version, and now when i

click
on teh files I can open the folder but nothing beyond
that. I can move it wherever i want, but i cant open or
delete them. HELP!

Thanks,
Shaun Currier
.Change the security access on the entire folder, its

using the previous sec settings prior to the reinstall
