Default speed on network

When I go into the Control Panel, and double click
Network Connections and then double click on the LAN, I
see the speed at 100 mbps. I would like to increase it to
help my Internet connection. It would be nice to go a
little faster for browing webpages on the Internet. Any
ideas?
