Customize the Toolbar
I have Windows XP and am runnint IE 6.0. I want to
customize the toolbar across the top so the words are under the pictures. (Example: stop, home, etc). I go to View - Toolbars - Customize and pick "Show Text Labels." Then I close out of that box. I also make sure there is a check mark by "lock toolbar." This use to work, but now it works until I close out of IE and then each time I come back in I have to re-lable them again. Anyone have any suggestions. |

Customize the Toolbar
Hello Jean,
After you customize the IE toolbar so the words are under the icons, I suggest you visit MS-MVP Kelly's website at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Note the instructions at the top of the page, then scroll down to line 54, (Save settings on exit) Right-click the hyperlink, then click | Save Target As | to download the file, "savesettings.reg", then double-click and follow the prompts.
