Default Dsiplay Properties

My display properties are not kept every time that I start up my computer.
I use the 'Windows Classic Style' appearance rather than 'Windows XP' and
have changed the desktop color. About 50% of the time the appearance is
changed to the 'Windows XP Style' when I start up the computer. It's very
frustrating because I have to go in and change the appearance and then
select my theme and save it.

Is there anyway to fix this so it starts up with the Classic Style EVERY
time?
Thanks
Lois
