Default System Restore

I recently installed Drive Cleaner 2006 free on my laptop. Ever since i have
done so, when the computer boots up, none of my icons appear on my desktop
and neither does the start up bar. I have to go through tasks and type in
the program name I want to run. I have tried to do a system restore, and it
still isn't working. Any suggestions?

Try uninstalling Drive Cleaner.

Sorry, then I don't know. Try:

1. System File Checker
StartRunsfc /scannow [enter]
Have the XP cd handy

2. Repair Install

You might also want to contact Drive Cleaner's tech support. Perhaps
this is a known issue.

Default System Restore

Does "drive cleaner" have any automatic backup options? Many programs that delete files or settings have an option to "undo" any changes that have been made.

Always 'BEWARE' of any program that promises to "automatically" optimize the system.
