Crashes with an Image file
I recently downloaded an image file to my hard drive
accidentally. I clicked the wrong link and now it's stuck there. Anytime the file is accessed, the program accessing crashes. I have tried to access it with windows explorer and it also crashed. I know which file is causing the problem. I have used command prompt and tried to delete the file with dos commands, but it says the file cannot be found even though a dir/p shows the file is there. I have tried using search on list and right click to delete but it crashes when clicked on. I have used several programs I have that allow browse and tried to delete the file that way with a right click, but everytime the file is on screen the program used crashes. I am not sure if the file name is too long. When I pull the file up under command prompt and type in DEL file name exact as it is shown, i get the cannot find file error. The problem is that I have other files in that folder. Files I have to access daily. I can't access those files now as the bad file causes them to crash when trying to open the file selection screen. Any help to get rid of this file is greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me if you know how to kill this file. Many thanks. |
