Only some of the free ones. I can't see paying for one I may
just uninstall after trying. Do you know of any that are very
similar to OE or WM? None I tried even came close. I'm not
into fancy filtering etc.

Of course, I'm of the mind that not even coming close to OE or
WM is a big plus :-)

We are of the same mind! It has always boggled me that people
would willingly use OE, and I'll say the same for WM if it's
anything like OE.

Why would it boggle you when it's an easy program to use for
Usenet and email? Not everyone is into complicated software that
they can tweak and play with. :^)

When given a choice of using a pen, pencil, or crayon, some people
choose the crayon. Who am I to argue? ;-)

Yes, chalk it up to experience :-)

I am far more efficient using OE6 with QuoteFix than using
Thunderbird, Forte Agent, XNews, Dialog, Gravity, etc. As the others
don't have all of the important features one needs to be efficient.

Perhaps you failed to notice the pun...

Oh that was a pun? Sorry I missed that. But seriously all of those other
non-Microsoft readers really missed the boat. And I heard a few years
ago from one guy who said that he and others pushed Microsoft to add
this very basic stuff like show only replies to your posts. And
Microsoft finally did. It wasn't even Microsoft's idea. Too bad that
same group didn't go after other readers as they all missed the boat on
all of this stuff. I can't believe they all could miss something so
simple and basic. Yet they did. :-(

Valorie, we've already corrected your false statements about missing
features in other newsreaders, yet here you go again. Gravity, for
instance, lets you filter to show only replies to your articles, and
I'm sure it's not the only one.

Of course, I don't know why you'd want that feature, since you don't
actually seem to read the replies.

Valorie? I have been posting *only* under BillW50 since '94. And before
that under WilliamW23 since '86. So what kind of bull are you trying to
pull? Seriously? I really hate it when people falsely accuse somebody of
something. I personally think you people should be thrown in jail. As I
could falsely accuse people too, but that would be so wrong. So what is
wrong with you?

I have Graviity installed right now and it does the same? Really? This I
love to see this.

Thrown in jail? Really?

I guess that means you think you should be thrown in jail, since you
post false information about newsreaders even after you've been
corrected.

It's easy -- set up a filter, for instance. But we've been through
this before, and there's obviously no point in my continuing.

Yes really! How would you like it if I drag your decades of reputation
through the mud? That just isn't right and I am all for bring back being
tarred and feathered. As it would be too kind for the likes of you.

I guess that means you think you should be thrown in jail, since you

Really? I have been complaining about this for years and nobody has
shown me being wrong yet. And you are going to do it? Okay let's see
what you got!

I have Graviity installed right now and it does the same? Really?

Oh, you are chickening out? No we haven't been through this before. And
I would *love* to be personally proved wrong! As I am personally tired
of complaining about this for years and I wish somebody besides
Microsoft of coming up with a solution. But all I end up with is just
broken promises. :-(

Try this link for Windows systems:

Microsoft has all but given up on Email technology and very soon start
marketing Microsoft brands of genetically produced oranges, bananas,
and other vegetables and fruits to stop pirates from distributing its
software without paying!.

Need to? Nobody needs to do anything for one. And secondly, Claws bites
(to be of poor quality, displeasing). They even claim this on their
website. It doesn't even support news! And like most GPL software, it
looks like an old Windows 3 application. The reason why GPL software is
free, is because nobody in their right mind would pay for such software
that is of such poor quality (aka bites).
