Passwords not working on PC
Hi,
i have XP SP2 installed on a laptop at home, it was a version i downloaded (XP BLack) however i wanted to set a password on the pc so that only i have access to it, so i went to user account in the CP and set a password on the admin a/c, i also ensure that the guest a/c was turned off, then i restarted, however it did not prompt me for pw at loadup, instead everytime its booted it logs straight into the admin ac without any pw's being entered, if i logout or click switch user i do get promted for a pw upon entering, however this isnt really helpfull if all people have to do is click restart to get onto the pc, i've had a look around but cant see a solution to this if anyone has any ideas it would be great, thanks a million, sisco. |

XP Black is a pirated edition of Windows not supported here.

So, why would you expect help for pirated Microsoft software in a Microsoft
owned newsgroup? Probably ignorance. "sisco11" wrote in message ... : : Hi Leonard, : : i simply installed xp black because i didnt like the vista crap that : came with the pc, : : Now have you anything helpfull to suggest with the issue, : : Thanks, : : : : : -- : sisco11 |

Hey Shenan,
Thanks for the reply, i had'nt realised this forum was linked to microsoft, next time sonny/eddie it may be an idea to explain this fact to new users instead of jumping down their throats and starting abuse, if this had been done i would have gladly taken my Q elsewhere, |
