Default Google Chrome and Google Earth ?

Hello,

Running W10 on a desktop.
Using Firefox as my Browser, and am reasonably happy with it.

I love Google Earth, but see that the new version is only usable
via Google Chrome, which, of course, they want you to install.

If I do install Google Chrome, how "easy" and practical would it be for
me to switch (permanently) back to Firefox, or to switch between Chrome
and Firefox when not using Google Earth ?

Thanks,
Bob

From what I understand there are two versions of Google Earth. One the
"plugin" for a web browser which will no longer work on any thing except
Chrome, and the other the standalone version.

The stand a lone version works with out a web browser, and will continue
to perform as in the past.

If this is not the case, it is going to hurt, as I have near 100 pins in
my standalone version of Google Earth. Unless the world changes
significantly I will not giving up Firefox.
