Default Pioneer DVD-RW Doesn't Initialize

When I try to burn any dvd, whether its video or data, I recieve an error
message stating that the drive failed to initialize. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the drive, but I can't think of anything else to do. I use Nero
6, and Clone DVD to author videos. Does anyone have the same drive, problems
or a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Pioneer DVD-RW Doesn't Initialize

I've used four different Pioneer DVD burner drives on my desktops.... to
which model are you referring? Have you got the latest firmware for the
drive in question? Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Nero? Did the
Pioneer drive ever work for burning a DVD?

More info needed
